- Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) sucht eine Scientific Employee - Group leader High Performance Computing (f/m/d) zur Leitung der Gruppe High Performance Computing (HPC) innerhalb der Abteilung Information Services and Computing. Die Abteilung ist der Service-, Beratungs- und Koordinationszentrum für die Informationsinfrastruktur des HZDR. Standort ist Dresden-Rossendorf.
Your tasks
- Technical leadership of the “High Performance Computing” group
- Operation and further development of services in the HPC environment
- Support for internal and external users regarding HPC codes and applications
- Collaboration with national and international project partners
Your profile
- Completed university studies (Master/Diploma/PhD) in the field of Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Science or Engineering or related field
- Several years’ professional experience in the specified area
- Experience in the field of high-performance computing
- In-depth knowledge of Linux server administration, HPC, and parallel storage systems
- Knowledge of using and programming parallel algorithms using MPI and CUDA
- Knowledge of installing, optimizing, and benchmarking scientific applications on HPC systems
- Fluent in spoken and written German and English
