Research focus
- This position focuses on advanced layer-specific functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) techniques to investigate cortical organization and function in the context of social cognition.
Your profile
- Outstanding record and PhD in computational and systems neuroscience or adjacent fields (physics, psychology, mathematics, bioengineering, or medicine)
- Strong background in neuroimaging, particularly fMRI methodology
- Excellent programming skills (Python required)
- Experience with high-resolution imaging techniques is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability and willingness to help acquire data in Leipzig in 2026/2027
Contract details
- Postdoc position: 2 years (possibility of 1 year extension), 80-100% TVöD E13
- Starting Date: Spring 2026
