Research focus

  • This position focuses on advanced layer-specific functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) techniques to investigate cortical organization and function in the context of social cognition.
  • Part of the ERC Starting Grant 'SOCO' - evaluating the link between social cognition and social environment upon brain structure and function.

Ihr Profil

  • Outstanding record and PhD in computational and systems neuroscience or adjacent fields (physics, psychology, mathematics, bioengineering, or medicine)
  • Strong background in neuroimaging, particularly fMRI methodology
  • Excellent programming skills (Python required)
  • Experience with high-resolution imaging techniques is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability and willingness to help acquire data in Leipzig in 2026/2027

Befristung
