Overview
- Fully-remote, as soon as possible, initially limited until December 2026 (planned to be converted into a permanent contract afterwards)
- Within the EUDI Wallet project, which SPRIND is implementing on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Digitalization and State Modernization (BMDS)
- We are developing Germany’s national EUDI wallet as well as a comprehensive EUDI Wallet ecosystem
- The EUDI wallet provides people with a secure, interoperable, and user-centric solution, enabling them to manage both public and private credentials – from ID cards to certificates and membership cards
Tasks
- Design and operate analytics systems that monitor usage, generate insights, and identify areas for improvement
- Design, develop, and maintain system infrastructure
- Maintain and troubleshoot UNIX and Linux systems
- Regularly update and enhance existing systems
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability
- Diagnoses and resolving hardware and system issues
- Identify and fix security vulnerabilities
- Optimize system configurations for performance and stability
- Automate IT processes using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Shell, Python) to improve efficiency
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and integrate new technologies
- Document IT systems and processes to ensure transparency and sustainability
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position
- Extensive experience with UNIX/Linux system engineering
- Solid scripting skills (preferably in Bash, Shell, or Python)
- Strong knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
- Deep understanding of system monitoring tools
- Experience with cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure and components
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
