- Vertical profiles of microphysical and cloud-relevant aerosol properties such as cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) concentration can be estimated using polarization lidar techniques (zitiert). Global CCN datasets retrieved from CALIPSOCALIOP and CAMS can be intercompared with PollyNET retrievals at multiple stations to improve retrieval methods and understanding of aerosol–cloud interaction.
